Order Cancellation

You may cancel your order for a full refund provided the item has not shipped. For special orders or custom requests, cancellations may not be possible. If your order has already shipped, you will be responsible for all shipping costs, including return shipping. To cancel an order, please contact us immediately at purchasing@salemtechsperts.com with your order number.

Damaged in Transit

If your device arrives damaged, please contact us immediately at purchasing@salemtechsperts.com. To process your claim quickly, please follow these steps:

  1. Do not discard the packaging: Keep all original packing materials.
  2. Document the damage: Take clear photos of the damaged device, the shipping materials, and the box.
  3. Contact us: Email us with the photos and your order number.

If you waived the required signature upon delivery (shipment release authorization), your eligibility for a refund may be affected, as this may limit our shipping insurance coverage. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

We will provide a prepaid return shipping label for you to return the damaged item. Upon receiving the returned shipment, we will inspect the device and issue a full refund for the damaged goods.

Warranty

We offer a one-year warranty on most electronics purchases, covering defects under normal use. This warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Accidental damage (drops, spills, etc.)
  • Improper use or handling
  • Damage caused by modifications or repairs performed by the customer, unless such modifications or repairs were performed correctly and did not contribute to the subsequent failure. The customer assumes all risk associated with modifying or repairing their device.
  • External causes such as power surges or natural disasters
  • Normal wear and tear

To claim warranty service, please contact us at purchasing@salemtechsperts.com with your order number and a detailed description of the issue. We may request you to perform basic troubleshooting steps.

If, upon inspection, the issue is not covered under warranty (including damage caused by improper modifications or repairs), you will be responsible for any return shipping costs.

Examples of Warranty Coverage:

  • Display malfunction without apparent cause
  • Hardware failure after a RAM upgrade (provided the upgrade was performed correctly and the RAM itself wasn't the cause of the failure)
  • Battery failure or expansion
  • Charger malfunction (a replacement charger will be sent)

Examples of What is NOT Covered:

  • Damage from dropping the device
  • Liquid damage
  • Damage caused by improper modifications or repairs by the customer (e.g., incorrect installation of components, damage during disassembly)
  • Damage from external causes (power surges, fire, etc.)
  • BIOS tampering (e.g., coreboot, failed BIOS update)
  • Issues arising after the device has been resold

Stolen Shipments

If your shipment is marked as "delivered" but you have not received it, please contact us immediately at purchasing@salemtechsperts.com with your order number. To assist in the investigation, we also require you to file a police report regarding the missing shipment and provide us with a copy of the report.

Shipments are insured against theft; however, waiving the signature requirement upon delivery (shipment release authorization) will void your eligibility for a refund in the event of a missing or stolen package. This is because waiving the signature requirement releases the shipping carrier from liability and significantly limits our ability to file a claim with our insurance provider.

International Purchases and Warranty

Please note that our standard warranty is void if the customer purchases the product outside of the United States, either directly or by using a freight forwarder or other international mailing service.

Warranty and Resold/Gifted Items

Please be aware that our warranty is non-transferable and is void if the device has been resold to a third party. However, the warranty remains valid if the device is gifted to another individual, provided the original proof of purchase is retained.
